The Road World Championships were held in Kigali on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, for their fourth day. Cyclists representing various mixed national teams covered 41.8 kilometers.
The Australian team won the race with a time of 54 minutes and 30 seconds. The mixed Australian team consisted of Michael Matthews, Lucas Male Plapp, Jay Vine, Brodie Chapman, Amanda Spratt, and Felicity Wilson Haffenden.

The Australians took the lead over France (2nd – 54 minutes 35 seconds) and Switzerland (3rd – 54 minutes 40 seconds).
This is the Australian team’s second consecutive victory. Australia won the mixed team time trial at the 2024 UCI Road World Championships in Zurich, Switzerland.
On the Rwandan side, the Rwandan national cycling team finished in 11th place, after clocking a time of one hour, three minutes and eight seconds. The Rwandan mixed cycling team was composed of Patrick Byukusenge, Eric Nkundabera, Mike Uwiduhaye, Diane Ingabire, Xaverine Nirere and Claudette Nyirarukundo.

This mixed team time trial saw the participation of 15 teams representing 14 countries. Each team consisted of 3 men and 3 women. This event is the last in the time trial category.
The 2025 World Road Cycling Championships will continue this Thursday, September 25, 2025, on the roads of Kigali. It will be the turn of the road race in the women’s under-23 category. The cyclists will cover a distance of 119.3 kilometers
